Peace, Love, DG

May 2nd was David Gardners Jewelers annual spring party. The 70′s based theme brought out a lot of polyester and funky prints. A disco dance floor and ceiling full of balloons transformed the garage into the big hit of the night, next to the jewelry of course! The Texas Aggie Dance team also entertained the crowd dancing The Hustle. It was a fun time for all…

Turtle Tug

I was privileged this past Sunday to cover the Delta Zeta’s first-ever fundraiser for The Painted Turtle Camp, a camp and family center for kids with life-threatening illnesses. The “Turtle Tug” tug-of-war was a hit and  a little messy, with a inflatable pool full of chocolate pudding acting as the pit! The action got wild when several non-combatants were dumped into the pit. But all was well as the Delta Zeta’s provided a slip-n-slide to clean of the gooey mess. I can’t wait to see next year’s event.

Snow in Texas!

As we were getting our son, Grant, ready for school this morning, we had the wonderful surprise of snow in College Station, Texas! Grant was thrilled to say the least. I got a kick out of watching him play in snow for the first time. Unfortunately, it was too warm for the snow to stick. But still a good family memory.
